A friend suggested I start one of these and keep it up while I spend a semester in IRELAND!!! I can't believe it. I'm still in shock about this amazing opportunity God has presented me with. The rest of the team and I will be leaving in just over two months and we couldn't be more excited.
We will be living just outside of Belfast, in Northern Ireland. Our accommodation is an old retirement home, converted to a student facility. We will be learning the true JBU way, following the moto: head, heart, and hand. The team and I will spend a mixture of time in the classroom and part of the time out getting full hand a real Irish experience.
While there, I am planned to take on 15 hours. A pretty full course load considering the situation. I plan on using these special 13 weeks of my life to the fullest. I will try to keep pictures and entries up to date as much as possible!!! :)
I would like to use this also as a prayer blog. This is possibly one of the biggest decisions I've ever made, and is truly the first time I will be away from my family and friends for a extended period of time. I will probably keep a pretty steady prayer request list on here and would be more then grateful for prayers. As of right now, I ask for prayers regarding things that need to get done prior to the trip. ( i.e. money, taking care of some stuff at the school, stuff and home, and etc.) I believe this stuff is true for me and the rest of the team so if y'all (yep I'm not going to stop saying it) would keep them in prayers too it would be greatly appreciated. :)
